Intro
Yodeck for Tizen has some limitations compared to the Yodeck Player. The following features won’t work, particularly.
Limitations
Device Screen Turn On/Off only shows a black screen.
Apps with Script code. More details are in the app compatibility table.
Running custom script code on Web pages.
If both layouts (current and next preloaded) contain a video, the transition is glitchy, but the video usually continues to play.
Gapless does not work every time. (In heavy (with many apps) Layouts with videos).
YouTube Live Channel Streams.
Screen orientation is not supported on Tizen smart TVs through API. Instead, Yodeck has two applications, one for horizontal display and one for vertical (yodeck-landscape.zip_ / yodeck-portrait.zip_).
4K is currently NOT supported.
Interactivity Apps (Interactive Library, Interactive Playlist, etc.) are not officially supported, but they could work.
The Interactive Kiosk App is not officially supported, but it could work.
Network Configurations is NOT supported.
Security Configurations is NOT supported.
Sound output (choose HDMI/Analog/Auto/Muted) is NOT supported.
Screen Resolution (Choose resolution/frequency) is NOT supported.
USB to HDMI Video Capture is NOT supported.
Layering in layouts has limitations with videos.
Tizen OS Supported Version
We currently provide full support for screens up to Tizen 7. Official support for Tizen 8, 9, and later versions is not available yet, but we are actively working on it.
