Only account administrators can install, remove, or manage the Embeddable Feeds add-on or specific embeddable feeds. All other users don't have access to the new feature.

Available for Free until late 2025!

The Embeddable Feeds feature is free to use until late 2025. This provides an excellent opportunity for you to enhance your online presence at no cost!

  • There is currently no limit to how many feeds you can create.

  • Most images, videos, documents, playlists, and layouts are available and function very well on Embeddable Feeds.
However, please ensure you familiarize yourself with the following content limitations.

Limitations

Most content is generally accessible, but the following exceptions are not allowed:

  • Schedules of any type

  • Youtube videos

  • Vimeo videos

  • Web Pages

  • Interactive Playlists

  • Interactive Kiosk

  • Interactive Library

  • Weather Radar

  • Web Apps → (Asana, ChartMogul, Luzmo, Fathom, Google Analytics, Google Calendar, Looker Studio, Google Slides, Google Traffic, Grafana, Jira, My Dashboard, Notion, Planner, Putler, Qube, Qbetter, Sharepoint, Shedul, Trello, Viva Engage, Xero, Zenkit)

💡You cannot use playlists or layouts that contain the above elements as content for an Embeddable Feed.

Sharing and Viewing Feeds

After you save a feed, a pop-up window appears that provides you with two distinct sharing options:

  1. Embed Code: Used for embedding your Feed using an iframe.
You can modify the screen dimensions in pixels under the Embed Code option.

  2. Share Link: Used for sharing your Feed directly via a secure public link.

After you have chosen the method of sharing your Feed, go ahead and click the Copy button in each sharing option to copy (either the code or the link) and share your Feed quickly and easily.

💡Keep in mind that the Eligible Domains (security) setting applies only to the Embed Code option that we analyzed in the previous section.

Managing and Updating Feeds

Using the "Set to Screen" Option

⭐It is important to remember that the platform treats Embeddable Feeds like Screens.
You can assign content to them using the Set to Screen option.
After selecting the aforementioned option, you can choose a Feed as the target "Screen" (via the steps A, B, and C) and complete the "Set to Screen" action.

💡Remember that Feeds are identifiable by a special icon in the modal.

Editing Embeddable Feeds & Checking the Preview

When editing a feed, a live preview shows the last pushed content. However, the preview may not match the currently selected playback content in the following cases:

  • You save a feed, never push, and return to the form later.

  • You change the content using Set to Screen, never push, and open the feed form again.

Example of a Feed

Let's assume, for example, that a marketing manager wants to keep their company’s website visitors updated with the latest internal announcements, promotional videos, or upcoming event posters without having to manually update the site every time.

Solution with Embeddable Feeds:

  1. Install the Embeddable Feeds add-on from the platform.

  2. Create a new Embeddable Feed and name it “Website Updates.”

  3. Select a playlist that includes the latest event posters, company announcement videos, and branded layouts (excluding unsupported content like YouTube).

  4. Under Eligible Domains, add your company’s website domain (e.g., www.examplecompany.com) to restrict where the feed can be embedded.

  5. Enable “Allow Controls” and “Show Video Progress Bar” for an interactive user experience.

  6. Click Save and copy the Embed Code.

  7. Paste the iframe embed code into your website’s homepage or “News” section.

Result:

Your website now displays dynamic, up-to-date company content from the platform. Visitors stay informed, and your team saves time by updating the playlist in the platform rather than editing the site.

Removing the Embeddable Feeds Add-on

When you uninstall the Embeddable Feeds add-on, from the Apps tab, but the following actions occur automatically:

Wrapping Up

Embeddable Feeds simplify the process of sharing your platform content through public links or by embedding it directly on your website. You can create multiple feeds to support various content types, enhancing the reach of your digital signage. With the platform's user-friendly interface, you can easily install, customize, and manage your feeds, providing a flexible solution for enhancing your website or sharing curated content securely.

F.A.Q.

Got questions? We've got answers! This section addresses common questions about Embeddable Feeds.

How are Embeddable Feed Views calculated?

The platform counts one view per session per browser. If the same browser opens a feed multiple times within 30 minutes, only the first view is counted. If the feed is reopened after 30 minutes, it will count as a new view. Additionally, refreshing a feed will also count as a new view.

What’s the difference between Share Link and Embed Code?

Share Link provides a direct, public URL to the feed. Embed Code generates an iframe snippet for embedding the feed into a webpage. Both options are available after saving a feed.

Will embedded feeds update automatically when I change content?

Yes, as long as the new content is pushed to the screen (feed) using the Push to Screen action, your embedded feed will reflect those updates without needing to update the embed code.

Can I restrict where a feed can be embedded?

Yes. Use the Eligible Domains setting to specify trusted domains where the feed is allowed to appear. This helps prevent unauthorized embedding.

Can I use Embeddable Feeds for internal dashboards?

Absolutely! As long as your dashboard content is compatible and doesn’t rely on unsupported web apps, you can securely share internal updates via Embeddable Feeds.

Why aren't recent updates or changes appearing in my Feed?

For changes to be loaded into any feed, one must close and reopen their web browser; it will not update mid-session.
